An analysis of Resistive Thoughts in the Works of Two Prominent Poets of Isfahan Sepideh Kashani and Saeed Biabanaki

Abstract

Criticism and assessment of the features of Persian poetry in terms of time, place, literary genres etc. have long been discussed by poets, writers, and scholars at the emergence of any literary works, and will continue in future. Consideration of the criticism on the authenticity of literary works styles indicates that each period of Persian poetry has had its certain specific and general characteristics, though little attention has been devoted to the stylistic books. Certainly the literature of the holy defense, in particular its sonnets, contain features which distinguish it from other periods of poetry and prose. The position of the poetry of the holy defense in the contemporary Iranian literature is very special, and it is necessary to interpret and analyze the variety of its contexts and approaches. This research is intended to analyze the authenticity of the style of sonnets of the holy defense of the two selected poets of Isfahan province - Sepideh Kashani and Saeed Biabanaki through technical and linguistic criticism. In the noble selection of the poems of these poets we have considered that although they have written several literary forms without focusing on sonnets, they have also written certain sonnets. The sonnets of Isfahan literature relating to the holy defense are simple and unambiguous, drawing on past experiences and reaching perfection in their works through time. Features of Khorasani and Iraqi styles are clearly visible in these works. Most of their poems involve two themes of religion and war, and the poets have been able to combine two epical and lyric melodies, produce mature and influential poems. They have offered new powerful features regarding sonnets.
